Leak: LG G4 Specs, Features, Photos Revealed Ahead Of Launch

The LG G3 is long due for a successor to replace it, and it looks like the G4’s design, features and specs may have just leaked online ahead of any surprises the company had been planning for a while. For further information on this development, head past the jump.

LG was missing from Mobile World Congress 2015 where it was hoped that the company would unveil the G4, but that didn’t happen, as the Korean giant continued to keep the covers tight on its next flagship smartphone. According to a bunch of press renders that were supposedly created for a dedicated LG G4 website, this may well be our first ever look at the upcoming phone.

The press renderings were purportedly created for a dedicated LG G4 website in preparation for the phone’s launch, but the images were swiftly removed after the site was allegedly discovered. Not only do these images show us what the G4 would look like, but provides some interesting hardware information as well as the different style variations that LG will be throwing in – something that had been lacking in earlier G series.

Design-wise, not a lot has changed, given that the phone continues to carry the minimized bezels, though the front of the phone will feature a full glass panel unlike the G3. LG is sticking to the 5.5-inch Quad HD display as well, but apparently the IPS LCD display is a new one, called Quantum Display which – according to LG – not only offers superior display quality, but is energy efficient as well. All physical buttons are placed at the rear just like the G3, and the G4 is only 8.9mm thick.

The rear-facing camera is a 16MP module with an f1.8 aperture, with the camera app offering some pro level features such as customized shutter speed, RAW file format support, and much more. To keep the phone running, LG is going to throw in a huge 3,000mAh battery as well.

No pricing details could be found, but the phone appears to offer a customizable experience. Users have the option of a variety of rear covers including plastic ones, as well as leather (faux likely) ones, which look pretty slick in the images.
