iOS 7 final download iPhone iPad iPod touch

If you haven't yet installed iOS 7 on your device, you've come to the right place. We've put together a full video walkthrough of the process, outlining how to backup your device before updating, and how to actually perform the update itself. Depending on your situation, you may want to update over the air (OTA) or via a tethered connection to a computer using iTunes, either will work fine (or should do when Apple's servers are performing as they should).

There are a few things you'll need, depending on the route you choose. If you plan to update over the air, you should need nothing more than your device and a good Wi-Fi connection. Simply navigate to Settings > General > Software Update and you'll be good to go. If, however, you’re updating via your computer, then you'll need the most up to date version of iTunes, which is iTunes 11.1, and your device connected via USB. Apple's servers are still currently having issues, so we would recommend directly downloading the IPSW for your specific device and using that to update. Once you have everything, simply follow the steps outlined in the video and you'll be running iOS 7 in no time! Both iOS 7 final for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch and iTunes 11.1 for PC and Mac are linked at the end of this post.

If you've never tried it before, iOS 7 will be a shock. Just take comfort in the recommendation that your usability of the software will improve with time, and you will start to love this new update. It's certainly improved my overall productivity with my device, things like Control Center and the new multitasking experience have actually sped up how I interact with my iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

After months of teasing, iOS 7 download links are now live for iPhone 5, 4s, 4, iPad mini, iPad, and iPod touch. We have been closely monitoring the progress that iOS 7 has been making throughout its beta stages, and most of us at Redmond Pie have mixed opinions about Apple’s new shiny mobile software. A few things are for certain, however, iOS 7 has improved hugely since the first beta, and it will be a incredibly huge change for those updating from iOS 6 unaware of what is about to land on their device.

Personally, I’m a huge fan of the new software. I think it’s different enough that it has recaptured my interest – which was significantly drifting towards the Android camp – yet similar enough to still feel like the core productivity and functionality machine that is iOS.
