iOS 27 Battery Life And Performance Video Put Apple’s New Update To The Test

Here’s iOS 27 battery life and performance video that might be important for you to check as an iPhone user before you update.

Apple’s iOS 27 software update was released to the public on September 14, and people have been installing it on iPhones around the world ever since. But some people prefer to wait and see how the update affects battery life, especially on older devices. This video has the answer.

The YouTube channel iAppleBytes has been running tests like this for years and specializes in getting results for a range of iPhones, not just the very latest models. That’s a big deal for those who don’t upgrade their iPhone every year.

In this latest round of tests, a number of steps were taken to try and ensure that they were as fair as possible.

Devices were updated to this build and given 28 hours to stabilize before testing. I ensured the Optimization of Search and Siri had completed, and that there was minimal CPU activity before running the test, confirming no background processes were active.

Geekbench was used to carry out a range of tests to give potential iOS 27 updaters a feel for what to expect from the update, and you can check out the full results in the video embedded here.

The iOS 27 update brings with it a range of new features and updates, not least the arrival of Siri AI. The upgraded Siri functionality builds on Apple Intelligence, but is still in beta and is expected to change as new features come online in the future.
