Here’s iOS 26.3 and iOS 18.7.5 battery life drain being tested to show how they perform on different iPhone models.
Whenever Apple rolls out a new iOS update, one of the biggest questions iPhone owners have is simple: will this hurt my battery life? Performance improvements are great, but battery drain can quickly ruin the experience.

That’s where YouTuber iAppleBytes steps in. The channel has tested both iOS 26.3 and iOS 18.7.5 to see how they compare against previous versions in real-world style battery benchmarks.
As always, the tests are conducted under controlled conditions. Each iPhone’s brightness is set to 25 percent with auto-brightness turned off. All devices are connected to the same WiFi network and configured similarly to minimize outside variables.
The battery tests are run using Geekbench’s battery benchmark tool, which measures how long each device lasts under sustained workload.
Two modes are used:
- Full Discharge Mode: Runs from 100% to 0% battery, offering a high level of confidence in the device’s battery performance.
- Partial Discharge Mode: Runs for 3 hours. If stopped after 10 minutes (either by the user or due to battery depletion), the result is saved and can be uploaded.
Early results suggest mixed performance depending on the model, with some devices holding steady while others show slight changes compared to previous builds.
If you’re thinking about updating to iOS 26.3 or iOS 18.7.5, it’s worth checking the full test results to see how your specific iPhone might perform.
