Here’s iOS 26 battery life drain test and performance shown on video for various different iPhone models. Here are the details.
Apple released iOS 26 to the public in mid-September after months of beta testing. That means that millions of people are now downloading it, including those with older phones that already struggle in terms of battery life. So what can those people expect from iOS 26?

That’s what YouTuber iAppleBytes set out to test, putting a number of different iPhone models to the test to get a feel for what users can expect from their own handsets.
Phones including the iPhone 15 and iPhone 16 were tested alongside older iPhone 12 and iPhone 11 models, so there is a good chance your phone will be covered in this video.
While we don’t want to spoil the fun — you can check the video out for yourselves — it does seem that the battery performance that users can expect is all over the place. Some models produced strong scores, while others struggled compared to the previous iOS 18.7 release.
Whether or not any battery concerns are enough to stop you upgrading to iOS 26 is a matter for you and your needs, though. The iOS 26 update brings with it a whole new Liquid Glass look and feel alongside a number of improvements to apps, features, and more.
The iOS 26 update is now available alongside new updates for the Mac, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro.
