iOS 26 Adds eSIM Transfer Support From Android To iPhone And Vice Versa

You can now do eSIM transfer from Android to iPhone and vice versa in iOS 26. Here are the details.

Apple’s iOS 26 software update was announced during WWDC on June 9, and new features are being found all the time. Now, it’s been confirmed that the update will add support for transferring eSIMs between iPhones and Android devices for the first time.

The iOS 26 software update is available in developer beta right now and some people have noticed that new “Transfer to Android” and “Transfer from Android” options have appeared in the Settings app.

Apple has not yet confirmed the feature, and it doesn’t seem to be fully functional in the current beta form.

This feature mirrors one that Google added to Android 16 that allows people to transfer eSIMs from iPhones to Android devices, so it appears that the two companies are looking to make it easier than ever to switch devices.

Apple’s iOS 26 software update is now in the hands of developers only, but a new public beta is going to be released in July. The final update is expected to be released to the public this coming fall, likely in September. That timeframe is also expected to see the release of Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 devices, as well as at least one new Apple Watch.

We expect that Apple will release the second iOS 26 beta within the next week or two. A new, iterated version of the original iOS 26 beta arrived earlier this week in order to fix a battery issue on iPhone 15 and iPhone 16 devices.
