Hyper Square For iOS Is Apple’s Free App Of The Week [$2 Value]

There are quite a few iOS apps that go free on the App Store once in a while, but nothing beats the free ‘App of the Week’ initiative by Apple which brings forth one quality app every week but with the usual price tag shed off. This week’s offering happens to be a game called Hyper Square, a puzzler which usually retails for $1.99 on the App Store.

Hyper Square is a highly rated puzzler with a very minimalist design; an element that is being increasingly included in the puzzle genre these days. The title, which has been designated as ‘Apple Best of May 2014′ last year, has some very simple and intuitive controls for getting across the different levels. “Twist, pinch, and drag. Hyper Square is a rich audio visual experience that takes you through multiple worlds of elegantly simple gameplay.”

The title of the game itself is evident to what you’ll be dealing with here, which happens to be a lot of squares. You’ll be taken through various levels where a bunch of squares need to be fit back into the target zones as fast as possible while you avoid running out of time. Of course, as you progress through the levels, the difficulty will increase with time being reduced significantly with every passing stage.

There are over 8 levels to be unlocked in Hyper Square, with over 100 challenges for the players. While the graphics are downright stunning, the audio experience is nothing short of brilliant either, offering a truly immersive experience. According to the developers, the audio and visual experience “evolves as you play”.

Hyper Square will not be free for a long time, and even if you’re a bit skeptic you may want to head over to the download link to grab it at least. This will register the app to your iTunes account and it will be free forever, whenever you decide to take the game for a spin. Once you do, I reckon you will find yourself compelled to keep at it as the difficulty and frustration levels are raised.
