Here’s How You Can Get A Month Of Free Skype Calls

Free Skype Calls

For those of you that like to be frugal and shop only when the deals are rolling in, the holiday season is as good a time as any to take advantage of the many price drops and savings available on the market. While many of you will undoubtedly be meeting up with friends and relatives during the course of the coming weeks, time, financial and practical constraints mean it is not always possible to arrange face-to-face meetings, but in these instances, we’ve long since leaned on Skype for a helping hand. Microsoft acquired the telecommunications company some time ago, and in an effort to turn occasional or would-be users into regular, paying customers, the Redmond company is running a great promotional deal.

As with the offer launched last month, which gave free mobile and land line calls for a 30 day period, Skype is giving users one month of Premium access absolutely free. The November deal was limited in that there was a cut-off date, and it was strictly only available to new customers, but so long as you log in within 27 days of activating your promotion, you can enjoy your free month.

Considering the fact Skype Premium costs $9.99 a month, it’s more than a decent deal, and if you’re unfamiliar with the perks of Premium access, its main pull factor is the ability to call landlines in 40+ countries or mobile numbers in 7 countries.

Although there aren’t quite as many catches as last time around, you still have to be on your guard if you want to avoid unwanted charges. In order to activate the Skype deal, you will need to sign up with a valid credit card, Skrill, or PayPal account, so make sure you set yourself a reminder to cancel within the 27 days, or you’ll be charged that $9.99 continually.

If you’re interested in saving a chunk on the use of Skype, here’s how to get started:

Step 1: Click on the following link: beta.skype.com/en/offers/skype-with-love/

Step 2: Hit the “Get Started” button, and enter your Skype credentials.

Step 3: You will then need to enter your billing name and address. Skype will pre-authorize £1.00 to chosen payment method, but that amount won’t actually be debited.

Step 4: On the next screen, click on your desired payment method, agree to the ToS.

Step 5: The pre-authorization process will proceed, and once that has completed, you’ll be able to enjoy one month of free Skype Premium.

Although we are perhaps spoiled for choice when it comes to methods of communication, Skype has long since been one of the best value, and if you have a long list of people to contact over the coming weeks, this Skype package may just be your best option.
