First iPhone Pocket Unboxing Shows Off Apple’s Latest Expensive Accessory

The iPhone Pocket, the result of a collaboration with ISSEY MIYAKE, has now officially gone on sale. And a video has been shared by someone who managed to get their hands on one.

The video, filmed at an Apple Store that saw other iPhone Pocket buyers put on something of a fashion show, highlights how the iPhone Pocket works as well as the colors available.

But if this video whets your appetite, you’re probably too late – the iPhone Pocket is already unavailable after selling out almost immediately once it went on sale this morning. Apple didn’t say that the accessory would be a limited-edition one, but it did say that it was a special-edition release. That means we don’t know for sure if or when stocks will be available.

As for physical stores, only a handful had the iPhone Pocket available for purchase, according to Apple’s press release announcing it.

Stores with stocks included:

  • Apple Canton Road, Hong Kong
  • Apple Ginza, Tokyo
  • Apple Jing’an, Shanghai
  • Apple Marché Saint-Germain, Paris
  • Apple Myeongdong, Seoul
  • Apple Orchard Road, Singapore
  • Apple Piazza Liberty, Milan
  • Apple Regent Street, London
  • Apple SoHo, New York City
  • Apple Xinyi A13, Taipei

As for the price, the iPhone pocket came in two versions: the short strap design sold for $149.95 (U.S.), and the long strap design for $229.95.
