Apple has today made the final version available to download of visionOS 26 for the Apple Vision Pro. The new update is available for download by all Apple Vision Pro owners right now.
This new visionOS 26 software update was announced way back in June during the annual WWDC event, and it’s been made available to developers in beta form ever since.

The beta program has seen multiple versions released as Apple worked through kinds and tweaked features, and now it’s ready for download by all Apple Vision Pro owners.
While the Apple Vision Pro might not be a big seller, this update does still bring plenty of changes to the headset’s software stack. One huge change is support for widgets that are persistent, so they will always stay where you place them in 3D space.
This update also includes the ability to share the Apple Vision Pro experience with friends and colleagues who also have a headset and are in the same room — perfect for watching movies and other content.
Apple has also added support for spatial scenes, turning photos into 3D-like images that look great on the Apple Vision Pro. Other improvements include spatial web browsing, and more.

To get visionOS 26 final version on your Apple Vision Pro, head to Settings > General > Software Update section of the device and grab the OTA update from there.
