Download OS X Lion 10.7.5 Build 11G15 [Developers Only]

Following hot on the heels of that latest Mountain Lion developer preview, Apple has pushed out a new testing build of OS X Lion to a number of developers, taking the operating system to version 10.7.5. At the present moment in time the exact changelog of 10.7.5 remains a secret, but with Mountain Lion looking likely to ship next month, any changes that Apple is adding to Lion at this time is likely to be pretty minimal.

As mentioned above, OS X mountain Lion will be shipping around the world during the next calendar month and represents a total change in direction for the software as OS X and iOS head toward being a more unified operating system. With that said, it is unlikely that Mountain Lion will receive total adoption across the board, meaning a large number of users will still remain on OS X Lion, meaning Apple still needs to push out updates in support of the OS. It was during May when the Cupertino giants last pushed out an update to Lion which was dubbed as version 10.7.4, bringing support for Retina Macs and various fixes for some security vulnerabilities.

The latest push carries build number 11G15 and should be available for members of the official Mac OS X development community right now. While it looks extremely likely that the update will only be an incremental release that brings a small amount of maintenance and housekeeping amendments, it is always likely that Apple have slipped something in without making a big deal of it so make sure that if you are a developer, you get it tested intricately. As is always the case when a developer build is pushed out, general members of the public will need to sit patiently for a few days until Apple flip the switch on the official release.
