Download iPadOS 27 Beta 1 IPSW Links, OTA Update Now

You can now download iPadOS 27 beta 1 via both OTA update and IPSW Links for compatible iPad models. Here are all of the details that you need to know.

This beta arrives alongside other beta updates for Apple various platforms, including iPhone, iPad, Mac, and more. The release comes on the same day that Apple announced iPadOS 27 during the WWDC opening keynote.

This beta is only available to registered developers, and even then, we only recommend that people install the beta on a device that you don’t need to rely on. Betas always have bugs and issues, especially at this point in their development cycle. We would expect that any iPad running iPadOS 27 will experience various bugs that could make it unusable for most people.

If you’re keen to take the new software for a spin right now, you can grab iPadOS 27 by heading to Settings > General > Software Update section of the device and grab the update from there. Alternatively, you can grab the IPSW file from developer.apple.com and update your iPhone or iPad using Finder/iTunes.

We expect there to be a months-long beta program before these updates are available for download by everyone, but a public beta should be just around the corner. If everything goes the way that we expect it to, the final iPadOS 27 update will be released to the world this September alongside iOS 27, watchOS 27, macOS 27, tvOS 27, and visionOS 27.
