Download: iOS 11.4.1 Beta 5, macOS 10.13.6 High Sierra Beta 5 Released

Apple has officially flipped the release switch on beta 5 of iOS 11.4.1 and macOS 10.13.6 High Sierra to developers. The multiple releases mean that developers with access to compatible iPhone, iPad, and Mac hardware can grab all pre-release seeds, right now.

When many individuals expected Apple to push out a final version of its various in-development software platforms to the public, the company has performed one of its blindside tactics by issuing yet another pre-release seed. Surprising the release may be, but it’s good news in the respect that the company refuses to release software to the public that it doesn’t deem to be fit for purpose.

iOS 11.4.1 beta 5: This latest beta follows on from the last release in the last week of June and continues Apple’s work of ensuring that any issues found in iOS 11.4 are resolved and streamlined with this minor point release. Features such as AirPlay 2 and Messages on iCloud are still present and correct and should now be more functional than ever with yet another release to strengthen the firmware.

macOS 10.13.6 beta 5: Most of the Mac-owning community have one eye on macOS Mojave and everything that is going to be introduced later in the year when that release officially drops. Until then, it’s the progress of macOS 10.13.6 which is keeping Mac owners going. We should be approaching a final release of macOS 10.13.6 by now, with this latest beta likely being the last pre-release seed prior to Apple pushing the button.

For those with the necessary account access, all of the above platforms are available to download right now as OTA updates from settings section of the device itself, as well as direct downloads from developer.apple.com.

The aforementioned seeds aren’t available to public testers yet but should be soon. We will update the post when that happens. Stay tuned.
