Download: Beta 6 Of iPadOS 26, macOS 26, tvOS 26, watchOS 26, visionOS 26 Released

Apple has today released the beta 6 updates for iPadOS 26, macOS 26, tvOS 26, watchOS 26, and visionOS 26. These updates come just a week after the fifth was released, suggesting that Apple is ramping up the testing as we get closer to a public release. You can download them all right now, assuming you’re a registered developer.

Apple announced all of these software updates during its June 9 WWDC event and confirmed that they will be released to the public this fall, likely in September.

iPadOS 26

The latest betas can be installed right now, but it’s important to remember that these are betas. Issues and weird bugs are to be expected, and that’s why we suggest that you don’t install these software betas on any devices that you rely on.

iPadOS 26

The iPadOS 26 update can be downloaded via the Settings app, assuming you’re signed into the right Apple ID. There are a number of changes in iPadOS 26, including a new Liquid Glass interface language as well as updated features and apps across the board. A new, window-based multitasking system has also been added, which changes the way the iPad is used and makes it more Mac-like.

macOS 26

macOS 26

Developers can install the macOS 26 beta 6 update via the System Settings app as of today. It includes the same Liquid Glass refresh as the rest of the 2025 Apple software lineup, as well as updates to Apple Intelligence and built-in apps. We absolutely don’t recommend installing this on your main Mac, though, because bugs and issues are to be expected.

tvOS 26

The tvOS 26 update is smaller and less feature-rich than those found on Apple’s other products. However, the beta can be downloaded now with changes to the Apple TV app interface, but we wouldn’t rush to install this update until it’s ready for the public.

watchOS 26

The Apple Watch is also getting some new software this year, and has tweaked the watchOS interface to match the Liquid Glass look and feel found elsewhere. You can download the new beta via the Watch app on your iPhone. However, it’s important to remember that any Apple Watch that fails due to a beta update will need to be sent to Apple for repair — unlike an iPhone or iPad, you cannot downgrade watchOS at home, unfortunately.

visionOS 26

Like most of the Apple lineup, the Apple Vision Pro can be updated via the Settings app built into visionOS. The new update adds persistent widgets for the first time, which is a huge upgrade for headset owners. But again, don’t install this beta if you rely on your Apple Vision Pro headset for work or anything else that’s mission-critical.
