Download: Apple Releases macOS Sonoma 14.1.2

Apple has today released for download macOS Sonoma 14.1.2 with members of the public now able to download the update for the first time. This release comes alongside iOS 17.1.2 which has also been released.

The macOS Sonoma 14.1.2 update isn’t one that brings with it new features but is instead an update that provides bug fixes and security updates.

In terms of bug fixes, Apple hasn’t said much, but the security issues fixed here are similar to those also fixed in iOS 17.1.2 and relate to the processing of web content.

Processing web content may disclose sensitive information. Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been exploited against versions of iOS before iOS 16.7.1.

Those with compatible Macs should definitely download this latest macOS update to ensure that they are running the latest security updates and bug fixes, as is always the case.

The update is free and can be downloaded now. The update can be found via the Software Update section of the System Settings app, and it isn’t yet clear whether this will be the last release before the turn of the year and attention turns to macOS 15 and beyond.
