Camouflaged Tesla Cybertruck Spotted In New Zealand Winter Testing

Tesla continues to inch the Cybertruck electric vehicle closer and closer to mass production following the news that it is undergoing winter testing in New Zealand.

We’d already seen images showing a Cybertruck arriving in the country and now new shots show it being put through its paces in the snow and ice.

The images were posted to Twitter by a New Zealand-based Tesla fan account and appear to show the Cybertruck drifting around on what appears to be an ice-laden test track.

The latest official information that we have suggests that Tesla will be able to hold a delivery event around the end of the third quarter of 2023, although it remains to be seen just how many electric vehicles are ready to ship at that time. These events normally see a handful ship, often to Tesla employees who placed orders prior. Nobody quite knows when those who have placed pre-orders can expect to receive their trucks.

The Cybertruck was first announced in 2019 and is set to be unlike anything already on the market. The pickup truck will definitely stand out from a crowd thanks in part to lightning-fast speeds. Handling is also expected to be strong and that’s what these winter testing shots show Tesla working on.

The Cybertruck has gone through plenty of delays since it was announced of course, but we now appear to be closer than ever to the truck going on sale officially.
