For those of us who own an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV or a Mac product, the time has come to go spend crazy and stock up on iTunes credit. If you purchase a $25 iTunes card through Best Buy, it will only cost you a paltry $20 - surely that is incentive enough to get those wallets out? The purchased credit can be redeemed in a multitude of ways through the purchase of songs, movies, Mac applications, iOS applications, beautiful iBooks and even in-app purchases for existing applications you may own. If you are feeling generous, you could even gift some software or a beautiful new book to a loved one, after all Valentine’s Day is just around the corner.

The online offer is valid until 7PM this evening through the Best Buy website and allows purchases of gift cards to the value of $15, $25, $50 and a whopping $100 with the amount you save obviously increasing with the amount you purchase. There is no indication why Best Buy are offering this saving, so we can only put it down to the kindness of their digital hearts, so if you happen to live your life with your face buried into an Apple device like I do, then make sure you grab some savings while you still can.

Everybody likes to get money off their goods and service, so I think it is fair to say that every consumer loves it when a company has a sale, or offers a great deal on a great product. Most of us would like to see a lot more sales and reductions when it comes to Apple products, but considering they hold their value up well, companies can ultimately get away with staying true to recommended retail prices.

Because of the fact that these products generally remain at full price, it comes as a very pleasant shock when certain retailers appears to go crazy and cut prices for no apparent reason. Today is the turn of American retail giant Best Buy to show signs of mental instability and slash the price of iTunes gift cards, offering 20% off digital delivery cards. 20% might seem like a pretty standard reduction to offer during any sale, but considering the company will now be offering the cards for less than their actual value it seems an infinitely better deal for consumers.
