Apple has today made its tvOS 26 and watchOS 26 Release Candidate updates available to developers, marking what is likely the final beta ahead of the final public release to public.
Both of these new software updates have been in beta testing ever since they were announced during June’s WWDC opening keynote, including a more recent public beta program. The updates have been in development alongside similar software refreshes for the iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro.

Both of these updates are now available and, assuming no further issues are identified, will likely be the same software that is released to the public.
tvOS 26
Apple’s tvOS updates rarely include big new features or huge redesigns, and this tvOS 26 update is no different. The Liquid Glass refresh has made its way to the Apple TV, among other things.
Apple also redesigned the TV app to make it more attractive and easier to access personalized viewing recommendations. Apple TV owners can also use their iPhone as a microphone when using Sing in Apple Music.
watchOS 26
Apple’s watchOS 26 software update brings Liquid Glass to your wrist, with the new interface stretching to in-app controls and the Smart Stack. A new Workout Buddy feature has also been added to provide encouragement when using the Workouts app.
The new software also includes a new wrist flick gesture, which makes it easier to mute calls, silence timers, and more. Other upgrades include watch face tweaks and a new Live Listen transcription feature.
