Apple’s New ‘iPhone Pocket’ Accessory Is Limited Edition And Costs Up To $230

Apple has announced the iPhone Pocket, a limited-edition way to carry your iPhone if you don’t have pockets. And it starts at $150.

That’s for the short version of the iPhone Pocket, whereas the long version will set you back a whopping $230.

Apple says that iPhone Pocket is inspired by the concept of “a piece of cloth,” which might not give potential buyers a warm and fuzzy feeling about spending this kind of money.

It’ll be available at select Apple Stores and online in France, Greater China, Italy, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, the UK, and the U.S.

A single 3D-knitted construction, the iPhone Pocket features a ribbed construction and is a collaboration between Apple and ISSEY MIYAKE.

Born from the idea of creating an additional pocket, its understated design fully encloses iPhone, expanding to fit more of a user’s everyday items. When stretched, the open textile subtly reveals its contents and allows users to peek at their iPhone display. iPhone Pocket can be worn in a variety of ways — handheld, tied onto bags, or worn directly on the body. Featuring a playful color palette, the short strap design is available in eight colors, and the long strap design in three colors.

The short strap version is available in lemon, mandarin, purple, pink, peacock, sapphire, cinnamon, and black; the long strap model is available in sapphire, cinnamon, and black.

While Apple has confirmed that these are only limited edition, it hasn’t said when we can expect the iPhone Pocket be removed from sale.
