Apple’s Hypertension, Sleep Apnea, And Hearing Health Features Come To New Countries

Apple is rolling its hypertension, sleep apnea, and hearing health features out to new countries. Owners of AirPods and Apple Watches will be able to take advantage of the features starting right now.

Apple Watch owners in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Vietnam can now take advantage of the wearable’s hypertension notifications while Hearing Test and Hearing Aid AirPpods functionality is now available in the UK, Germany, Austria, Poland, Switzerland, Finland, Norway, Ireland, and Denmark.

Apple previously made the hypertension notifications available with the watchOS 26 software update, but only for owners of the Apple Watch Series 9 or later or the Apple Watch Ultra 2 or later. The feature checks for sings of high blood pressure and then alerts the user so they can seek medical assistance.

The sleep apnea notification has been around for longer and warns users when the Apple Watch believes that they have stopped breathing multiple times while sleeping. The alert only triggers after 30 days worth of data has been collected, however.

The hearing  and hearing features are available to owners of the AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods Pro 3, and can be huge boons for those who suffer from hearing loss.

All of these features are rolling out to the new countries now, with the potential for more countries to follow suit later.
