Here’s Apple Watch Sleep Score feature compatibility for older models that you may need to check out.
At Apple’s “Awe Dropping.” event, the company announced Apple Watch Ultra 3 and Apple Watch Series 11 and with it Apple announced a new Sleep Score feature.

According to Apple, the Sleep Score feature analyzes “sleep quality influenced by factors such as sleep duration, bedtime consistency, how often you wake up, and time spent in each sleep stage. Sleep score analyzes these factors every night and provides a classification and a score. You’ll see how the score is calculated, so you can understand the quality of your sleep and learn how to make it more restorative.”
If you thought this was exclusive to new Apple Watch models announced yesterday, fortunately that is not the case. Apple has confirmed that some older Apple Watch models will be compatible with Sleep Score feature with upcoming watchOS 26 update.
Here’s the list of models which will support Sleep Score feature with watchOS 26:
- All Apple Watch Ultra models
- Apple Watch Series 6 and later
- Apple Watch SE 2 and later
Another requirement is having the aforementioned Apple Watch models paired with iPhone 11 or later running iOS 26.
Another key feature announced was Hypertension detection which is also coming to some older Apple Watch models. You can learn more about that feature here: Apple Watch Hypertension Alerts Feature Compatible With These Older Models.
