Apple has updated its Sports app for iPhone that adds support for tennis scores — just days before the beginning of the famous Wimbledon event in London, UK.
The new update, which is a free download via the App Store for all iPhone owners, now includes support for Tennis scores for Grand Slam tournaments, including the upcoming Wimbledon event.

The interface represents a tennis court in a similar way to the sports that are already supported. Scoreboards and stats will be available, including the route that tennis players followed to get to the relevant part of the tournament.
As you’d expect, Sports users can add tennis games as a Live Activity, making it easier to glance at the live score via their iPhone or Apple Watch.
The new support for tennis isn’t the only addition to the newly updated Sports app. A refreshed home screen layout has also been added to the mix, including a change that makes it easier to see scores. Now, games are separated by the league in which they are being played.
The Apple Sports app comes preinstalled on all iPhones and is updated regularly via the App Store. The Sports app is currently only available to iPhone users in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada.
This update comes as Apple is working on getting its next big iPhone software update ready for primetime. The iOS 26 update is expected to be released to the public this fall.
