Apple Releases Third iOS 26.1, iPadOS 26.1, And macOS Tahoe 26.1 Public Betas

Apple has today released the third public beta test versions of iOS 26.1, iPadOS 26.1, and macOS Tahoe 26.1. All three updates are now available for download.

Apple made the same betas available as part of the developer beta program earlier this week, so we already know what to expect.

The new updates will bring Apple Intelligence support to new languages, including Danish, Dutch, Norwegian, Portuguese (Portugal), Swedish, Turkish, Chinese (Traditional), and Vietnamese.

AirPods Live Translation is also rolling out to new languages. The feature first debuted with the release of iOS 26 in September, but this new update will bring support for Japanese, Korean, Italian, and Mandarin Traditional and Simplified Chinese.

The update also includes smaller changes to a raft of Apple’s first-party apps and features, including a new Apple TV app icon and more. Alarms and timers now also have a redesigned interface that should make it more difficult for people to accidentally dismiss them.

On a purely aesthetic front, the Phone app will gain Liquid Glass-style numbers on the keypad screen, while a new slider comes to the Photos app when scrubbing through videos.

There are tons more small changes coming to Apple’s devices with these updates, too. We don’t know for sure when they will be released to the public, but the smart money is on late October or Early November.
