Apple Releases Beta 2 Of iOS 26.4, iPadOS 26.4, macOS 26.4 And More

Apple has just released for download beta 2 of iOS 26.4, iPadOS 26.4, macOS 26.4, tvOS 26.4, watchOS 26.4 and visionOS 26.4 for compatible iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, Apple Watch and Apple Vision Pro.

The release comes only a week after the company seeded the first beta of the aforementioned seeds and brings with it a number of new features and improvements on compatible devices.

As far as v26.4 is concerned, when it comes to iOS 26.4 on iPhone, a Playlist Playground feature has been added to Apple Music which basically lets you generate songs for any idea, mood or activity by giving it a prompt. Also added is Converts Near You feature in Apple Music app, and a new ambient music widget for your iOS Home Screen.

Besides that, Apple Podcasts app is getting video podcasting capability, end-to-end encryption is being added for RCS messaging between iPhone and Android, new emoji characters are being added system-wide, enabling Stolen Device Protection to ON by default, and much more.

If you’re a registered developer, you can grab the OTA update of v26.4 by heading over to Settings > General > Software Update section of the device and grabbing the OTA update from there. Alternatively for iOS 26.4, you can download the IPSW file from developer.apple.com and updating your device to it using Finder on Mac or iTunes on Windows.

Apple is expected to release public beta 2 seed of v26.4 to Apple Public Beta Software Program portal members sometime later in the week.
