Apple is today celebrating its 50th birthday, and has updated its homepage to share the news. This comes as CEO Tim Cook also shared a video that runs through the products of Apple’s first half-century.
Apple’s home page now features a colorful Apple logo as well as the “50 Years of Thinking Different” text. Below that is a paragraph acknowledging the occasion.

At 50 years, it’s only natural to look back. But Apple has always looked forward, building tools and delivering experiences that enrich people’s lives. As we celebrate how far we’ve come, we’re inspired by where we’ll go — together.
Cook also shared a video on the X social network that highlights the products that have taken Apple from a company based in a California garage to one of the biggest companies on the planet.
The video itself begins with the unveiling of the MacBook Neo earlier this year and ends with the original Apple 1 way back in 1976.
Apple was formed on April 1, 1976 by cofounders Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak. It’s gone through many different iterations since then, with Jobs ousted before returning to Apple for the company’s second act — an act that saw the arrival of the iMac and iPod, followed by the iPhone and iPad.
