Apple Announces Its 2025 App Store Awards Winners

Apple has today the winners of its 2025 App Store awards, with 17 apps and games recognized for their “technical ingenuity and lasting cultural impact”.

Apple whittled down a list of 45 finalists to get to this figure of 17 total winners across the App Store for the Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Apple TV.

“Every year, we’re inspired by the ways developers turn their best ideas into innovative experiences that enrich people’s lives,” Apple CEO Tim Cook said via press release. “This year’s winners represent the creativity and excellence that define the App Store, and they demonstrate the meaningful impact that world-class apps and games have on people everywhere.”

Of the winners some of the biggest names include Pokemon TCG Pocket, which picked up the iPhone Game of the Year award, and Dredge which won the same award for the iPad. On the Mac, Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition took the honors.

Continuing the run of winning games, we have Porta Nubi taking the award for the best game on Apple Vision Pro. The Apple Arcade Game of the Year went to What the Clash?

As for apps, the iPhone App of the Year was Tiimo, a time management and planning app. On the iPad, Detail won the same award while Essaysist picked up the Mac version.
Over on the Apple TV, HBO Max was adjudged to be the best app while Strava took the gong for the Apple Watch App of the Year. Finally, Explore POV was chosen as the Apple Vision Pro App of the Year.
