Anthropic has announced a new update to Claud AI that allows it to work with your Mac even when you aren’t there to help it.
Claud AI’s Claud Code and Cowork tools have gained the ability to remotely control a Mac, perfect for those times when Claude doesn’t have a direct connector available for a specific app. Popular apps like Slack and Google Calendar are prime examples, MacRumors points out.

The news was announced via the Claude blog and detailed what the AI can do thanks to this latest update.
In Claude Cowork and Claude Code, you can now enable Claude to use your computer to complete tasks. When Claude doesn’t have access to the tools it needs, it will point, click, and navigate what’s on your screen to perform the task itself. It can open files, use the browser, and run dev tools automatically – with no setup required.
The new feature is available in research preview for both Claude Pro and Claude Max subscribers. There’s also a YouTube video that shows off the new Claude capabilities for those who want to get a better understanding of what’s on offer thanks to this update.
We can also expect the feature to be iterated on in the future, with improvements and new, additional features likely.
