X-Plane 12, dubbed “the world’s most advanced flight simulator,” will debut on the Apple Vision Pro once Apple releases the visionOS 26.4 update to the public.
The new update will bring support for technologies required to allow X-Plane 12 to offer a new flying experience, bringing the app to the Apple Vision Pro for the first time.

That technology, Nvidia’s CloudXR 6.0, will allow the Apple Vision Pro to stream cloud-based experiences, the X-Plane team announced via a press release.
Later this spring, with NVIDIA CloudXR 6.0 for visionOS 26.4, Apple Vision Pro users will be able to stream immersive PC and cloud-based experiences from NVIDIA RTX systems, including X-Plane 12.
Spatial computing gives players a whole new way to experience their favorite games. With Apple Vision Pro and your current flight‑sim hardware, you’ll enjoy an immersive flying experience that makes training even more vivid and realistic.
While the X-Plane 12 app will need to run on a computer, the app will automatically detect a nearby Apple Vision Pro running the companion app and stream footage to the headset. The app will also use ARKit and image detection to allow it to “reliably track cockpit positions, allowing you to seamlessly merge the physical and digital worlds.”
Apple is yet to officially confirm when the visionOS 26.4 update will bd released to the public, but it’s expected within the next few weeks.
