Here are the official iOS 27 beta 1 release notes, including changes and known issues. In short, here is the changelog of iOS 27 beta 1 straight from Apple.
As had been expected, Apple officially announced iOS 27 during the WWDC 2026 opening keynote on June 8. The new update won’t ship to the public until this fall, but developers can install the very first beta release right now.

However, as is always the case with these early iPhone software beta releases, bugs and strange issues are very much to be expected. These early betas notoriously break banking apps for a ton of people, and that’s just the start. It’s also why we absolutely only recommend installing an iOS beta on a device that you don’t need to work correctly.
With all of that said, Apple does give us a heads-up as to the main issues that users can expect from iOS beta releases. In this case, it’s shared release notes that you can check over before you install the beta on your own device.
As ever, future beta releases will surely improve matters, squashing bugs and addressing performance issues. We expect new release notes for each beta update, and a public beta program is set to kick off in a few weeks as well.
As for the official release, the public will get their hands on the iOS 27 update this fall, likely in mid-September.
