Just a week after Apple seeded iOS 26.4 beta 2, the company today has released beta 3 of iOS 26.4 and iPadOS 26.4 to developers of Apple Developer Program portal.
If you’re a registered developer, you can head over to Settings > General > Software Update section of the device and grab the update form there.
Alternatively, you can download the IPSW file of iOS 26.4 beta 3 from developer.apple.com and then installing it via iTunes on Windows or Finder on Mac.
As for what is new in iOS 26.4 in general, it has added a Playlist Playground feature in Apple Music that lets you generate songs based on idea, mood, emotion or activity when you give it a text prompt. Other than that, Concerts Near You feature has been added as well for local shows near you.
Apart from this, Apple Podcasts is getting native video podcasting capability, RCS is getting end-to-end encryption for texts between iPhone and Android, new emoji characters for text, Stolen Device Protection enabled by default, new widget for ambient music, and more.
As for beta 3, we don’t know if it includes anything new apart from the ones mentioned above. In case it features something new not mentioned above, we will be back with details on it. Stay tuned for more on this space.
