Those of you who have jailbroken your iPhone with blackra1n and then later unlocked it with blacksn0w might have faced issues with Youtube not working, WiFi not connecting to any hotspot and other issues related to GPS. Some of you got it fixed by following our guide posted here which used Push Fix app from Cydia. This app, which was available on iPhoneil repo was removed shortly after we posted about it. The good news is that the app has now been repackaged and rebranded as “Push Fix & youtube” and is now available for download via Cydia. “Push Fix & youtube” is guaranteed to fix all the issues that you may be having with the Youtube app not working after blackra1n jailbreak.
The installation procedure for “Push Fix & youtube” app is similar to that of “Push Fix” app which we posted about earlier. Follow the steps below to fix Push and Youtube issues on iPhone 3G/3GS, running iPhone 3.1.2 firmware on 05.11.07 baseband.
Step 1: Start “Cydia” on your iPhone. Touch on “Manage” tab on the bottom and then on “Sources” as seen in the screenshot below:
Step 2: Touch on “Edit” and then on “Add”. You will be prompted to enter a url source as seen in the screenshot below. Type “http://cydia.iphoneil.net” and touch on “Add Source”.
Cydia will now automatically update your sources by following a series of automated steps.
Step 3: Once the repository has been added successfully, search for “Push Fix & Youtube” in Cydia and install this application. This app will automatically fix Push Notification System and Youtube app issues on your unlocked and jailbroken iPhone.
Step 4: Restart you iPhone. Now go to Settings and enable WiFi again.
Step 5: Reboot you iPhone again. Voila! You should now be able to connect to Youtube again without any problems!
