We know what you’re wondering: Is it possible to jailbreak the newly released iOS 18.6.2 on an iPhone? Here’s the latest status update so that you have everything that you need to know ahead of time.
While it’s definitely true that jailbreaking isn’t as popular as it once was, some people do continue to do it. At least, they do if they have a device that can still be jailbroken, that is.

Apple has brought many of the most popular jailbreak tweaks to iOS as standard, thankfully, so most people don’t find jailbreaking such a dealbreaker.
With the release of iOS 18.6.2 and iPadOS 18.6.2, the obvious question is, where does that leave jailbreaking fans?
The last time a jailbreak was released for the latest iPhone and iOS version was back in 2019. That seems unlikely to change any time soon, and that’s bad news if you’re a fan of jailbreaking.
While there have been jailbreak tools like checkra1n that continue to be updated from time to time, they only support the iPhone X and older. That, unfortunately, means those with newer devices are left out. That has been the case for a while, and there is little suggestion that it will change soon.

All of this means that there is currently no jailbreak available for iOS 18.6.2, although that could change in the future. We’ll keep our ears to the ground, just in case.
