iPhone App ported to Zune HD in 12 hours!

Wow! Its only been a few days since the launch of Zune HD and we already have an iPhone-based app running on it! The folks over at Foundation42 have managed to port their upcoming iPhone App called WordMonger to Zune HD in just about 12 hours! WordMonger is written in C# using OpenGL and it runs on both the iPhone with MonoTouch and on Zune HD with .NET. Zune HD version is built using XNA Game Studio 3.1 which supports Zune HD extensions and Visual Studio 2008.

WordMonger is our new, highly addictive word game we’re developing for the iPhone and ZuneHD.
Featuring unique and refreshing gameplay along with vibrant animated graphics.
We’re sure you’ll love it!

iPhone version of the app is expected to be released by Thanksgiving Day. No word on the release of Zune HD version as currently Microsoft does not provide any way for third parties to publish their apps on Zune Marketplace.

Hopefully this is a sign of good things to come for the Zune HD. Lets hope that more developers of famous iPhone Apps will follow in soon. Thanks to @volvoshine for the tip.
