Apple is rumored to be readying the iPhone 18 Pro for release later this year, and a new report suggests that the phone could feature a whole new Dynamic Island design.
According to a YouTube video by leaker Jon Prosser, Apple’s new iPhone 18 Pro will have an under-screen Face ID system that will be housed in the top-left corner of the display rather than in the center.

That space is currently reserved for the clock, so the move would be a notable one. It would also be the first time that the Dynamic Island has changed since its introduction.
Prosser says that the corner-housed Dynamic Island will animate outwards to fill more of the display when the need arises, but it’s impossible to know for sure, given this is the first time that we have heard anything along these lines.
Rumors of Apple planning to tweak the Dynamic Island aren’t new, though. Previous reports had already suggested that Apple would move the Face ID components below the display to remove the need for such a large cutout. That would potentially change the way the Dynamic Island looks and functions. However, Prosser’s new claims are the first we have heard of such a big change to the norm.
Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max alongside the first foldable iPhone around September this year.
