iPhone 17 Pro Might Wirelessly Charge Your Apple Watch And More

Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro in September, and a new report suggests that the latter could finally support wireless charging for your Apple Watch and AirPods.

That is according to the leaker Fixed Focus Digital, posting on the Chinese social network, Weibo. The leaker claims that Apple has tested the reverse wireless charging capabilities.

However, it isn’t yet confirmed whether the testing will ultimately turn into the final product supporting what would be a very useful feature.

The last couple of iPhone releases have seen a similar rumor crop up, but it’s yet to be something offered by Apple. However, we’ve also seen suggestions by at least one other leaker that the 2025 iPhones will support reverse wireless charging for things like AirPods and the Apple Watch.

It’s worth noting that the rumors have so far only suggested that the reverse wireless charging feature would be available on the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. That means that people who choose the iPhone 17 or iPhone 17 Air will not be able to access the same feature.

If Apple sticks to its previous release schedules, we expect that the company will announce all four new iPhones in September. It’s also expected that at least two new Apple Watches will be unveiled on the same day, too.
