iPhone 16 Gets Two New Camera Control Features With iOS 18.3

iOS 18.3 is almost here, with the Release Candidate (RC) beta now available.

This update introduces a couple of handy improvements to the iPhone 16’s Camera Control button and its visual intelligence features.

What’s New in Visual Intelligence?

In iOS 18.2, Apple introduced visual intelligence for the iPhone 16 and 16 Pro, adding an AI-powered camera mode you can access by holding down the Camera Control button.

With iOS 18.3, visual intelligence is being improved further with two new features:

  1. Add Events to Your Calendar: Your iPhone can now recognize dates on posters or flyers, letting you quickly create calendar events.
  2. Identify Plants and Animals: You can now use your iPhone to identify plants or animals, which can be useful when exploring nature.

Apple has shown these features before, but iOS 18.3 is the first time they’re officially rolling out for Camera Control.

These small updates add some extra convenience to your iPhone, whether you’re organizing your schedule or learning more about the world around you.
