iOS 26.2 Beta 2 New Features And Release Notes

Here are iOS 26.2 beta 2 new features and release notes that you need to know about as an iPhone or iPad user.

Apple’s latest iOS 26.2 beta 2 release is now in the hands of developers, ahead of a release to the public that is expected to come in the next few weeks. Now that people have been testing the update for a day or so, we’re learning more about what it has to offer. Including improvements to the Games and Measure apps.

While the Measure app might not be the most-used app on the iPhone, it’s one that is always there when you need it. With iOS 26.2, the app has a new Liquid Glass level that more closely matches the new iPhone design language,

Fans of the new Games app can sort games by size for the first time, while CarPlay supports disabling pinned messages within the Messages app for the first time.

Apple has also added more information to the Enhanced Safety Alerts that debuted in the initial beta. The alerts are now enabled by default.

Other changes include a refreshed Liquid Glass slider for the Lock Screen as well as Live Translation support for AirPods in the EU.

Developers can now download the iOS 26.2 bet 2 release for their own devices, and it’s compatible with all of the same iPhones that can install iOS 26. As for a public release, we expect to see iOS 26.2 made available to all towards the middle of December.
