It seems like you will soon be able to download iOS 26.0.1 as an OTA update. It will likely include fix for camera issues found in iPhone Air and iPhone 17 Pro.
Besides that, it is also possible that Apple will include further improvements for other iPhone models. Post iOS 26 release, many users are complaining about poor battery life, general slowness and overheating issues with their iPhones, including those with last-gen iPhone 16 Pro Max. Hopefully Apple will have further optimizations included in iOS 26.0.1 release. It’s important to note that the company has already confirmed that iOS 26.0 will have battery life issues at launch.
The aforementioned update according to anonymous poster on X, will carry build number 23A350. Given iPhone Air and iPhone 17 Pro are launching tomorow, it’s likely that Apple will release the update as a day 1 fix, and if not, then it’s very likely that Apple will launch this update as urgent fix for those devices first thing next week.
It is important to note that Apple has already released watchOS 26.0.1 for Apple Watch Ultra 3 ahead of the device’s launch this week. watchOS 26.0.1 was specifically released to enable satellite connectivity on Ultra 3 models in Mexico.
