Looking to install iOS 26 public beta OTA update on your iPhone? Here are the details you need to follow to install the latest beta software on your device.
Apple announced the iOS 26 software at an event in June and has been running a developer beta ever since. Now, it’s getting ready to run the public beta for the first time. You can get in on the act yourself, but you’ll need to be signed up in order to install it.

Before installing it, you need to make sure you’re signed up for it on Apple Beta Software Program portal. Apple has opened the registration process, and that process is quick and easy. To do that, follow the steps below.
Step 1: Head to beta.apple.com and choose the Sign Up button.
Step 2: Sign in with your Apple Account (previously called Apple ID)
Step 3: Read the Beta Software Program Agreement and press the Agree button if you agree to its terms.
Step 4: Follow the on-screen instructions for your specific device.
That’s all there is to it when it comes to signing up.

Now in order to install the update, head over to Settings > General > Software Update section of your iPhone. Tap on Beta Updates, and then select iOS 26 Public Beta.
Now head back to Settings > General > Software Update section and wait for OTA update to show up. Once it shows up, tap on Download & Install to begin downloading and installing the OTA update.
Apple says that iOS 26 final version will be available to the public this fall, and we expect that it will launch in or around September.
