Since then, we’ve seen the second and third betas released with Apple making considerable tweaks. There have been improvements across the board, and now it’s time for the beta 4 release to take things a step further. But when will it be released?

If Apple sticks to its tried and tested cadence, we expect that iOS 26 beta 4 will be made available for download by developers on Monday, July 21. That release will likely also be joined by a public beta release that is based on the same build, too. Public beta though be released earlier as well between July 14 to July 16.

While we don’t yet know what this new beta release will improve in terms of features and stability, performance and stability upgrades are sure to be part of this release.

Apple has already confirmed that it will release iOS 26 to the public this fall, but it has yet to confirm exactly when. We do expect that the update will be made available to users the world over in September, likely a week or so before the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro devices officially go on sale.
