Apple Music subscribers can now tie their music subscription to ChatGPT, giving the chatbot access to their account and allowing it to build playlists on their behalf.
The new support comes as OpenAI rolls out support for ChatGPT apps, with Apple Music one of those apps listed under a new section within the ChatGPT interface.

Signing in with your Apple ID gives ChatGPT access to your account, but it’s unable to see information like listening history or playlists. However, it can create new playlists which means users can ask ChatGPT to recommend music based on the information they provide to it.
Other features include ChatGPT adding songs to the Apple Music library which is handy if you ask the chatbot to recommend music for you.
The Apple Music app isn’t the only music streaming service to have gotten in on the ChatGPT apps train early. Spotify is also present, so subscribers to that particular streaming service can enjoy a similar list of features, too.

The new app support was also released alongside upgraded image generation capabilities for ChatGPT users. The app is now better at creating and editing images, OpenAI claims.
Notably, Apple Music integration is not paywalled, so it’s available to all users of ChatGPT whether they pay for access or use a free account.
