The iPad Air and the new generation of iPad mini were both unveiled yesterday, and the press reaction, as always, had been ecstatic. Alongside the hardware improvements that these devices carry, there’s one more tradition that they, as before, have conformed to, which is a new wallpaper.
As we work our way through the month of October it's surely only a matter of time until we see an invitation to Google's Nexus 5 event landing in inboxes across the blogging world. With more and more leaks of not just the hardware but also the software that it runs appearing on a seemingly daily basis, it's clear that Google's new smartphone can't be too far away.
You can tell a lot about a person by just looking at their wallpaper. Are they using the same wallpaper that came with their device? From that, you can tell hey probably aren’t very tech savvy. Do they use a photo of Emma Watson as their wallpaper? They have a celebrity crush on her, guaranteed. Does the wallpaper significantly decrease text readability? Well, they could use a few tips on design. Does their wallpaper collection include photos of sweeping vistas? You’ve got a travelling fan right there. This is just how I sometimes read people.
All eyes have been firmly fixed on the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona over the last few days as consumers watch eagerly to see what technology-related goodness is set to hit the shelves in the coming weeks and months. So far we have seen Symbian smartphones with whopping 41-megapixel cameras, a tablet device which comes equipped with a stylus, and a Samsung Beam smartphone which has the ability to project images, videos and presentations onto any surface. Exciting stuff.

Just found this out and thought it was pretty neat and worth a share. Just installed Windows 7 Starter edition on a low-end spare notebook for testing purposes when I found this new wallpaper which ships with this edition of Windows.
