In development since 2009, announced officially at CES in early 2011, went through three different previews (Developer, Consumer and Release) and recently announced to be code complete, the final, code-complete, release to manufacturing version of Windows 8 is finally available to TechNet and MSDN subscribers. Microsoft has just released Windows Home Server 2011 to its MSDN and TechNet subscribers. Both TechNet Plus and MSDN subscribers can now evaluate Windows Home Server without any time limits what’s so ever.

Microsoft has just released RTM (final) version of Windows 7 Service Pack 1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 for their MSDN and TechNet subscribers. Public version will be available on February 22nd via Microsoft Download Center and Windows Update.

In his first keynote address at the 2009 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Microsoft Corp. I randomly ran into this site on TechNet Blogs which had the link to SQL Server 2008 wallpaper and screensaver which are perhaps released by the MS SQL team themselves.

The wait is finally over. Microsoft has today released the long awaited successor to the 2005 version in the form of SQL Server 2008.
