Apple has also released for download macOS 15.3.1 for Mac, visionOS 2.3.1 for Vision Pro, and watchOS 11.3.1 for Apple Watch.

The aforementioned releases come alongside iOS 18.3.1 and iPadOS 18.3.1 which were released a short while ago for iPhone and iPad users.

One of the biggest reasons why Apple has released iOS 18.3.1, iPadOS 18.3.1, macOS 15.3.1, watchOS 11.3.1, visionOS 2.3.1 today is to address critical vulnerability that could potentially disable USB Restricted Mode on a locked device.

Apple has described this issue in its security document as follows:

Impact: A physical attack may disable USB Restricted Mode on a locked device. Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been exploited in an extremely sophisticated attack against specific targeted individuals.

It’s because of this we highly encourage all Mac, Apple Watch and Vision Pro (as well as iPhone and iPad) owners to update to this latest release as soon as possible. To update via OTA method, you can head over to Settings > General > Software Update section on the device itself and grab the update from there.

Apple is also expected to release first beta of iOS 18.4 soon which is expected to bring fourth-wave of Apple Intelligence features to compatible devices. We will of course update you on it whenever it becomes available. Stay tuned to us for more on this space.
