Apple Releases Beta 2 Of iOS 26.1, iPadOS 26.1, tvOS 26.1, watchOS 26.1, macOS 26.1, visionOS 26.1

Apple has just released for download beta 2 of iOS 26.1, iPadOS 26.1, tvOS 26.1 watchOS 26.1, visionOS 26.1 for compatible iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Apple Watch, Mac and Vision Pro devices.

The release comes couple of weeks after Apple seeded beta 1 of v26.1 to developers, and a week after Apple released the bug fix iOS 26.0.1 to public.

You can download the aforementioned releases by heading over to Settings > General > Software Update section of the device and grabbing the OTA update from there. Alternatively, you can head over to developer.apple.com to grab the IPSW links and then updating to it via Finder on Mac or iTunes on Windows.

While we don’t know as to what has changed in beta 2, but as far beta 1 goes, Apple brought new languages support for AirPods Live Translation (Japanese, Korean, Italian, and Chinese (both Mandarin Traditional and Simplified) as well as for Apple Intelligence (Danish, Dutch, Norwegian, Portuguese (Portugal), Swedish, Turkish, Chinese (Traditional), and Vietnamese).

Apple also fixed a number of UI issues found in initial release of v26.0 in this v26.1 release.

Apple is expected to release final versions of iOS 26.1, iPadOS 26.1, tvOS 26.1, watchOS 26.1, macOS 26.1, visionOS 26.1 by end of October, likely to coincide with new hardware release which the company is planning to announce at its October event. This will likely include M5-powered Vision Pro, iPad Pro as well as MacBook Pros.
