Adobe has released a Firefly content creation app on iPhone and Android for the first time, with both apps available for download from the App Store and Google Play Store, respectively.
The app allows Firefly users to use generative AI to create new images and videos by giving it text-based prompts.

While Firefly does use Adobe’s own models, it also integrates technologies from other companies, including OpenAI.
Adobe Firefly is the AI video creator and image editor designed for professionals, content creators, and innovators – and it is now on mobile. From AI-generated video to AI-powered image generation, Firefly gives you the speed and flexibility to create on your terms, with the confidence of commercially safe AI models trained on licensed content.
Anything that users create on their phone will be automatically synced to their Creative Cloud account, but some of the tools the app offers will require credits beyond the existing subscription.

Alongside creating new content, the Firefly app can also use AI to edit video, while still images can be edited to add dynamic motion and other edits.
Adobe’s app copy suggests that it is aiming the mobile version of Firefly squarely at “mobile-first creators” who want to create imagery and video content on the go without the need for a computer. Social media creators and digital artists are also possible users of the new mobile Firefly app, Adobe believes.
