You Can Now Pre-Order A 24k Gold-Plated, 18k Solid Gold iPhone 8

When Apple announces all three of its new iPhones during the media event that will take place on 12th September, all eyes will be on which color options the company will offer the new releases in.

Rumors have Apple reducing its colorway options to just black, silver and gold but what if you want something a little more… fancy, say, 24k-gold-fancy?

London-based store Goldgenie already offers a new iPhone 8/X/Edition up for pre-order ahead of its official announcement by Apple, but this phone is nothing like the ones you will find on sale in Apple Stores. The folks at Goldgenie, which also operates out of Dubai, claim that they will be able to offer new iPhone devices plated in 24k gold, rose gold, or platinum depending on your requirements, and will also offer the phone with diamond-encrusted accents if you really need to bling things up a notch.

If gold plating isn’t your thing, then you can also opt for the real deal by choosing Goldgenie’s solid 18k gold version. Pre-orders for all of the Goldgenie offerings are available right now but you will need to have your piggy bank ready – prices are even more eye watering than the $999 that Apple is expected to charge for the new iPhone in its standard form, with the price tag going all the way up to $1199 for the highest storage tier.

The gold versions will sell for £2597 while those wanting to go the diamond route can expect to hand over £3597. It’s all good, though – Goldgenie will accept your pre-order for a 50% deposit, so they are at least being reasonable about things! Me? Well, I’m going to stick to the old faithful standard black version from Apple, just as Jony Ive intended.

You can order a gold iPhone 8/X/Edition for yourself right now over at goldgenie.com.
