iOS 10 GM Download For Public Beta Testers Released [Update: macOS Sierra As Well]

Apple has now released iOS 10 / 10.0.1 GM for download to public beta testers. This seed comes following the release of iOS 10 GM to developers yesterday.

During yesterday’s event, Apple not only confirmed the release date of iOS 10, tvOS 10, watchOS 3 and macOS Sierra, but as mentioned earlier, made GM seeds of all of its platforms available to those registered on Apple Developer Program. Today though, Apple has made iOS 10 GM seed available to those who are registered on Apple Beta Software Program.

If you are already running a previous version of iOS 10 public beta on your device, you can simply head to Settings > General > Software Update section on your device itself and grab the OTA (over-the-air) update from there. For those who aren’t running iOS 10 yet, they can either head to beta.apple.com to register and get onto iOS 10 bandwagon, or just wait till next week when Apple releases the final version of iOS 10 to everyone worldwide.

Final version of iOS 10 for compatible iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices is scheduled for release next week on Tuesday, September 13th, 2016.

For jailbreakers among you, it’s worth pointing out that currently there’s no public jailbreak solution available for iOS 10. The last public jailbreak was released for iOS 9.2-9.3.3 firmware versions. Anything over that has no public jailbreak available. While some hackers have demonstrated jailbreaks for iOS 9.3.4, 9.3.5 and even iOS 10 firmwares, they have not made any promises to release them to public. Update beyond iOS 9.3.3 only if you don’t care about jailbreaking. You’ve been warned.

Update x1: macOS Sierra GM is available now to public beta testers as well. Final version of macOS 10.12 Sierra for compatible Macs is scheduled for release on September 20th.
