		<description>Wow. To the author of this article, you act like Microsoft&#039;s applications are going away completely. No, in fact, now you get a choice, so that in the event you decide to go with a competing application, you&#039;re not bloated with Microsoft&#039;s apps that you&#039;re never going to use.

This comes from someone who hasn&#039;t had &quot;Great Experiences&quot; with apps that had been fed to me in the past, and I either had to figure out how to uninstall them or hide them behind superior third party apps. Why have it if you don&#039;t use it, and that sounds like a great strategy this time around.

Microsoft is finally treating Windows like a sandbox--a clean slate--and you have a choice of what to play with. I can create my own experience.

And please, don&#039;t compare Mac to Windows. Vista had its chance and clearly that wasn&#039;t what people wanted, now it&#039;s time for a different approch.</description>
