dude, its been almost a year now. M running ios 4on my 3g now with latest ultrasnow. Everything works fine.

Just rember: ultrasnow has some issues, not sure if it still does, but if ur running ultrasnow, then turn off ur data services, edge, 3g, data etc. so the phone calls work fine. u can still use wifi with it. ths wat i faced so telling it to u.

You can go Cydia, Manage, Sources and edit the Ultrasn0w and delete it. ATT service will work again but your phone is no longer unlocked.
I could not figure out how to unlock yet.

Does anyone know how to fix the “no service” problem after jailbreaking with redsn0w 0.9.4 on 3.1.3? I jailbroke using 3.1.2, working fine but now I have no phone service. Under network it says not available and under my number says unknown. Please help

I have the same problem as the user Frangipanni who posted his problem a month ago
I bought my 3G Iphone in vegas Now I am in the phillippines
I upgraded from 3.0 to 3.1.2 OS version (Itunes version 9.0 ) and now I am getting the dreaded error message to insert my AT & T original SIM to contact my service provider which in here is globe cellular in the philippines ( both of these options are not possible for me)
please help me with the solutions that you have provided to other guys that have worked for them whether it is to restore the phone back to the working 3.0 version or otherwise...I just need to have my phone and Information back..Huhu
I am looking forward to this as a " New Year Gift" from you to resolve my dilemma

call me stupid but I bought an iPhone 3gs from Hong Kong and was told it was unlocked. yesterday it asked me on iTunes to update my phone and i did …. disaster…. now my phone is asking for an AT & T sim card and is locked to them. I am not too computer savy and am really unsure what to do … i have read heaps and am now more confused. I read you can go backwards by going back to iTunes 7.5 and then restoring firmware to 1.1.4 but wont this take me back to an iPhone 3g and not a 3gs heck I am so confused and I am heart broken that I have now killed my phone. I am in Australia so joining AT & T is not an option. iPhone wont help me and my own service provider virgin cant help either…. please guys I NEED HELP!!! please explain in simple english if you think you can help
